Despite its updated Defender-ish looks, this Land Rover is actually a 1964 Series 2A 88in, fitted with a 3.5-litre Rover V8, twin electric cooling fans, and new electric fuel pump and air filter. It features a four-barrel carburettor and manifold, along with power steering, disc brakes all-round, coil spring suspension with uprated link arms and suspension parts. There's also a fill roll-cage and bucket seats. The vendor reports it has good oil pressure with no overheating issues, but has been unused for a number of years. However, after the carburettors were cleaned, new fuel added and the air filter changed, the Land Rover apparently fired up easily and runs well. While the vendor believes that everything works, he advises that it should be checked over properly before returning to the road. The odometer shows 31,525 miles and the Series 2A was registered in June 1964. There's no MoT as, being an historic vehicle, the Land Rover no longer requires one. The only documentation with the car is the V5C.
